Down Under III: A walk in the Dobson’s Run Storm Relief Sewer, June 15, 2010

I have taken four walks in various sewers, but this is the only time I did not have to wear waders or a raincoat. I took all the photos except for the one of myself. See the text on the first four photos for some explanation. The 12.5 foot diameter section of sewer we walked in had been excavated by a tunnel boring machine, with access provided through an entrance along Kelly Drive and the shaft through which we descended by makeshift elevator into the pipe.
