Sandy Run Watershed and the Holmesburg Water Works
A talk by Adam Levine about Sandy Run, a tributary to Pennypack Creek in Northeast Philadelphia that was mostly piped in a sewer by the 1940s. Sandy Run was the source of water for the old Holmesburg Water Works, which the City of Philadelphia purchased and shut down in the 1920s. This talk was given via Zoom on December 2, 2020 to the Northeast Philadelphia History Network, and recorded by that organization.
