Queen Lane Pumping Station, proposed design

Blueprint of a drawing of the Queen Lane Pumping Station. Drawing by "Packard, delineator," after an architectural design that may have been by James Windrim. This was not the final design; the finished building (no longer standing) was somewhat simpler but still elegant. The station, located near the Schuylkill River just downstream of the mouth of Wissahickon Creek, began operation in 1895.
