Wire Bridge

In Philadelphia, this refers to the suspension bridge that once spanned the Schuylkill River along the line of Spring Garden Street, downstream of the Fairmount Water Works. Built in 1842, this bridge was replaced in 1875 by a doubledecker bridge.
