Philadelphia Navy Yard, July 1872

Full title is: "Plan of the U.S. Navy Yard Philadelphia showing improvements up to July 1, 1872. Commo. Geo. F. Emmons, U.S.N. Commandant." This is an original hand-drawn map, not a print. The Navy Yard was located at the foot of Federal Street, on the Delaware River. It was later moved to League Island.
