Benjamin Franklin, the Fireman

Portrait of the young Franklin in his fire helmet and jacket, painted by Charles Washington Wright circa 1850. It should be noted that there is an anachronism in this painting: the design of fire helmet depicted was not invented until more than 30 years after Franklin's death.
